Sara Anderson

Administrative Assistant

Sara joined Education Strategy Group in 2022 to support all practice areas with administrative and logistical tasks as well as event planning for projects. Sara has helped with the planning of several successful ESG events including convenings for New Skills, Launch, MI-RAISE/MI-LEARN, Talent Ready, and Social Capital. Among her many daily duties, she also organizes many social initiatives inside the ESG team to help keep this busy team energized and excited to continue the important work.

Sara has over 15 years of experience with administrative support. Prior to joining ESG, Sara served as an office assistant for a mental health facility in central North Carolina, a Managing Editor for a peer-review management company in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina, and an administrator for a beach vacations realty company in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Her personal interests include spending time with family, carting her children to their many extracurricular activities, cooking, reading, and volunteering in her local community. Sara earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Women’s Studies from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Why are you in this work?

I’ve always had a passion in life to make a difference in this world. I feel that this work will help me to continue on the journey of giving back to society and to contribute to a wonderful cause.

Every member of the team has passionate energy toward their work. They have that irrefutable gleam of pride in their eyes when discussing what they do and the team they have created. I’m excited to be a part of such a passionate, good-hearted group of people who have built a strong community within themselves.
