Education Strategy Group works to improve the effectiveness and impact of K-12, postsecondary, and workforce systems for all. We work with leaders at all levels to deliver an education and training system that closes equity gaps; maximizes opportunities for citizens to live productive futures; and allows states to cultivate a robust workforce, capable of sustaining and building a 21st century economy.
Improving effectiveness and impact
Long-term success requires long-term commitment. We bring years of expertise in districts, states, institutions, and organizations leading the charge to align systems for student success. We add creative capacity to help identify and overcome challenges; we are partners dedicated to helping you achieve greater impact.
Improved performance and student success starts with sound policy. We work with leaders at the national, state and system levels to develop, enact and scale high-impact policies to support college and career readiness, postsecondary success and workforce alignment. Our team has significant experience working with K-12, postsecondary, and workforce leaders to establish policies that increase achievement and improve system performance. For an example, see our case study on New Skills for Youth.
Program Design & Implementation
Implementing ambitious ideas requires high-quality programs and adequate system capacity to implement them. We bring experience and expertise in designing effective programs and building implementation capacity at scale. We help local communities and institutions align strategies and programs to state goals, supporting college and career readiness and success for all students.
Advocacy & Communications
State, system, and district leaders implementing bold policies need persuasive communication strategies to build support among key stakeholders. We work with leaders to develop messages, build coalitions, and establish feedback loops that enable reforms to be sustained. We optimize communication channels to preserve and extend momentum for sound policies and effective implementation.
Strategy & Facilitation
Organizations and systems need clear plans for achieving goals and sustaining progress. We bring K-12, postsecondary, and workforce leaders to the same table to agree to common, coherent strategies for student transitions. We advise leaders in the development and execution of action plans to increase economic opportunity for all. For an example, see our case study on supporting P-20 work in Minnesota.
Coalitions & Collaboration Networks
Peer collaboration strengthens policy development and implementation. We work with national organizations and state leaders to support the creation and implementation of action networks for student success, developing tools and guiding participants to achieve collective impact. For an example, see our work on the Level Up Coalition.
The ability of states, communities, and institutions to deliver coherent strategies for student success rests on the capacity of K-12, postsecondary, and workforce leaders to implement, monitor and sustain the work. We build leadership capacity, providing executive training and offering forums to deepen connections among system leaders and support sustainable cross-system processes for ongoing planning and accountability.
