Kailee Karr

Since joining ESG in 2024, Kailee has been supporting the advancement of the organization’s postsecondary education initiatives by bridging the gap between high-level strategy and regional impact. During their tenure, they facilitated a community-centered process for the Kansas City College and Career Attainment Network and co-authored the resulting regional strategic plan. Through facilitating cross-state convenings and learning sessions during the REACH Collaborative and MI-LEARN Design Lab, they unified diverse educational leaders and industry partners to share best practices and synchronize efforts across state lines.Their expertise is defined by a proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and create actionable pathways for student success.

Prior to joining the firm, Kailee was a Program Manager at Great Jobs KC where they developed pipelines to family-sustaining careers through college access and workforce development. Their professional background includes deep experience across student coaching, workforce development, and building supportive systems for adult learners. They hold a Bachelor’s degree in Global and International Studies from The University of Kansas and a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from The University of Tennessee.

Why are you in this work?

My experience as a first-generation college student instilled in me a profound commitment to advocating for those navigating systems with limited access to financial or social capital. I believe education serves as the nation’s most powerful catalyst for economic mobility, and we have reached a pivotal moment for ensuring that higher education delivers genuine value and creates sustainable pathways for every learner.
