Why are you in this work?

When I was a college student in Chile, I participated in groups that helped children and teenagers living in underprivileged communities with their homework and school projects. We also offered them many recreational activities to give them an opportunity to be creative and channel their energy into fun projects. The goal of those groups was to counteract education inequality, prevent students from dropping out, and change, in some way, the trajectories of their families. It was a challenging and rewarding experience that I won’t ever forget.

I am convinced that education is the most powerful tool to succeed in life. Ensuring inclusive and equitable education helps people have more opportunities to avoid poverty and increase their quality of life.

Why ESG?

I am thrilled to be part of a team that supports communities, states, and the nation in providing quality education to give people a chance to have a better life. It is an honor to learn from my colleagues about the organization and contribute to its wonderful mission.
