Amanda Fioritto joined Education Strategy Group in 2018 as an Associate supporting the Career Readiness portfolio. In this capacity, she provides technical assistance, research, and analysis to support clients in establishing and scaling high-quality career readiness opportunities for students.
Prior to joining ESG, Amanda served as the Data and Strategy Specialist for the District of Columbia Public Schools’ College and Career Programs division. She also established division-wide and school-specific accountability tools to measure performance and direct strategy on key college- and career-readiness goals. Prior to that, Amanda worked as the Data and Evaluation Specialist at Urban Alliance, a national youth development nonprofit focused on preventing youth disconnection by providing professional skills training, mentorship, and paid internships to high school students.
Amanda earned a Master of Public Policy degree in 2015 from George Washington University and holds Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Sociology from the University of Dayton.
Why are you in this work?
An educational experience that marries classroom learning with real-world exploration and individualized postsecondary planning is critical for students’ long-term economic success and security. Despite this, too many students lack the ability to explore the breadth of opportunity available to them after high school. I believe that all students are deserving of postsecondary plans tailored to their unique interests and skills.
Building a pipeline between K-12, postsecondary, and workforce systems that works for all students requires breaking down siloes and engaging stakeholders across multiple sectors. ESG understands this, with collaboration and partnership at the root of every project.
